Thushara Deepal is a musician and educator with extensive experience in performance and music education across diverse traditions. Currently studying at a European conservatory, he demonstrates a strong commitment to mastering multiple musical languages and artistic practices. As an innovative educator, composer, and performer, he creates immersive experiences that engage audiences through distinct Eastern and Western musical perspectives.
As the only Sri Lankan student at his conservatory, he has independently navigated and sustained his artistic and academic journey, while also engaging in research, organization, and creative development. His work aims to open pathways for future students from Sri Lanka and South Asia, creating greater accessibility and opportunities within European music education.

Don is an excellent guitar teacher: attentive, involved and thorough. Because I wanted to emphasize technical development myself, he paid a lot of focused attention to it in the lessons. Our lessons were online, and he knew exactly how to position the camera so he could watch and give feedback. Don is also friendly and punctual. I also appreciated that he made an effort to find music that matched my interests. I can heartily recommend him as a guitar teacher.

I was struggling with my chords progressions and finger movement where he was able to guide me successfully to the next stage with his expertise. My son absolutely loves his class and eagerly waits for it every week. He is very friendly and patient with young children and has a great way of teaching them using simple, easy-to-understand methods and materials. He keeps my son engaged throughout the entire class without it ever feeling boring.
